Blessed, Beyond Measure

In his album, Beyond Measure, Jeremy Camp talks about the many aspects of his life. When it comes to his blessings, they are so many they are literally beyond measure. As we know, when something is beyond measure, it is infinite.

Even in these economic turbulence, now is a perfect time to evaluate ourselves, our journey and our blessings. As with Jeremy Camp, we have all been blessed - and if we are honest with ourselves, we have been blessed beyond measure.

One of the most awesome things I have learned in my faith walk is how abundantly I have been blessed. My blessings are in everything – my daily needs, my friends, my family, my church. God has shown me time and time again the blessings I receive are based solely on His Grace, and have nothing to do with my merit. God will bless me, and use me to take part in His magnificent plan, even when I am infinitely unworthy to do so.

As I have aged, I am more reflective of my life lived. I look back on the twists and turns and how they could have turned out. I see now blessings received in every step of my path, every hour of every day. Not that my life has been absent of struggles – but even in those troubles, the blessings have constantly been there – all to the glory of God.

I don’t know why God blesses the way He does – maybe I will find out when I stand in His awesome presence. All I know is that I am grateful for the endless, undeserved blessings that daily come my way. Some blessings have been like small pebbles to help make my journey easier; others like large boulders that define my path as they guide my way. All important, all necessary.

I now realize that I am a small, yet very important part of God’s vast plan. My blessings, my life, are all part of this plan. I believe that I have been abundantly blessed to allow me to bless others. For this, I am now and forever grateful – grateful beyond measure.
